Customers can manage cards and other information associated with their vehicles from P-Fleet's customer portal. Start by logging in and navigating to the Vehicles screen. This screen shows all of your vehicles that have been entered into the system, including vehicle cards.
Vehicle Statuses
Each vehicle has a status (active or inactive). An active vehicle can have new cards created and assigned to it by an authorized user from your company. An inactive vehicle no longer has active cards.
Changing the status of a vehicle from active to inactive will cancel all cards for that vehicle. Cards are listed under each vehicle so you can see which assets will be affected before deactivating a vehicle.
Changing the status of a vehicle from inactive to active, however, will not immediately reactivate all cards for that vehicle. First, reactivate the vehicle. Then select a drop-down option from the Card Action field to reactivate or replace any cards associated with that vehicle.
Vehicle Departments
Each vehicle can be assigned a department if you choose. The drop-down menu for the Department field shows current departments that have been added to your account. If you need to add a new department, click Create Department under Actions in the top right corner of the page.
Additional information about vehicles can also be stored within P-Fleet's customer portal. Click on the vehicle number, and you'll be redirected to a vehicle profile page. From there, you have the option of entering (or editing) the vehicle description, make, model, year, license plate, tank capacity, last odometer reading and department of that vehicle.
Cancelling, Replace, and Reactivating Vehicle Cards
The Vehicles screen allows users to manage the status of vehicle cards. However, to view or edit all settings of a vehicle card, you will need to navigate to the Cards screen.
Using the Card Action field you can cancel, replace or reactivate a card.
Additional Vehicle Information
P-Fleet's website allows you to store additional vehicle information for your own reporting purposes (please note this information will only appear in the Vehicle report and will not change/affect card functionality).
Once you navigate to Vehicles and click on the Vehicle ID, you are able to enter the following fields:
- Make
- Model
- Year
- License plate
- Registration state
- Tank capacity
Click Save when you are finished making your changes.
