Customers can manage almost every aspect of their CFN cards by logging into their online account. You can change PINs, update card limits and assign departments to your cards. Start by navigating to the Cards screen.
The following fields are displayed on the Cards screen and allow users to update their fuel cards:
- Action: This allows you to cancel, replace or reactivate a card. A more detailed explanation of how to cancel, replace or reactivate cards is available here.
- Description: This is the driver or vehicle description associated with a card. This field is not editable. If you need a card with a new description you will need to order a new card.
- Vehicle: If a card is tied to a vehicle, this is the 4-digit number identifying the vehicle. This field is not editable. If you need a card with a different vehicle number you will need to order a new card.
- PIN: CFN cards require 5-digit PINs that cannot start with zero. PINs also cannot be overly simple (e.g., 11111, 12345).
- Gal. / Tran.: Number of gallons allowed per transaction.
- Tran. / Day: Number of transactions allowed per day.
- Gal. / Day: Number of gallons allowed per day.
- Valid Days: Days when purchases are allowed. If purchases should be allowed every day, select Mon and Sun as the beginning and ending days, respectively.
- Valid Times: Times of day when purchases are allowed. If purchases should be allowed at all times, select All and Day as the beginning and ending times, respectively.
- Products: Products allowed to be purchased. Click the information icon for a list of product abbreviations or see below. (Please note: Product restrictions are only available at cardlocks. Retail gas stations don't provide product restrictions because multiple fuel products are accessible from the same gas pump.)
- Retail: This determines if a card can be used at select retail gas stations and truck stops, in addition to CFN locations, with the pricing set by the retail merchant.
- Department: This field is optional. Customers have the option to assign departments to their cards to track spending. Select the department you want to assign from the drop-down menu. You can create your own departments and manage them through the Manage Departments page in the User Menu.
These are the abbreviations for products that can be authorized for a fuel card:
- Dsl: Diesel and DEF
- Dd: Dyed diesel
- Unl: Regular unleaded gasoline
- Mul: Midgrade unleaded gasoline
- Pul: Premium unleaded gasoline
- Oil: Oil products
- All Products: All fuel and non-fuel products
When a user makes a change to a card field, that field becomes highlighted. You have the option of making additional changes to that card or to multiple cards. Once complete, click Submit Changes at the bottom of the page.
